The Metro Depot Rehabilitation and ‘A’ Street Improvement Project is located in the City of Upland along ‘A’ Street and Campus Avenue and included construction renovations of the historic depot building and street, drainage, and water system improvements. The exterior of the building was completely renovated including removal of lead based paint and restoration of outdoor lighting, construction of a patio area and other site improvements to permit commercial reuse of the building and completed to ADA standards.
Offsite improvements including construction of a 48” diameter storm drain (a portion being bored under the railroad system), a 12” replacement waterline, and street improvements. The street improvements included decorative streetlights and enhanced concrete sidewalks to beautify the corridor and enhance the appearance of the depot to encourage increased use of the facility.
